We actually opened our doors at Journeys of Life on Memorial Day weekend 20 years ago. After working the entire the first two holiday weekends that year, I decided I needed to hire someone to work those times. As any small business owner knows, the buck stops with you which means if one of those employees could not come in, I had to. So, I made a decision that Journeys would close on the Sunday and Monday of holiday weekends. The kids were small, Hal loved going to the farm for the summer holiday weekends and I needed to be there with them. So, I made a decision that we still follow today. Even though we have a great staff who are dedicated to our business, Journeys is not open any day I would not be willing to work myself! This Memorial Day weekend falls in to that category. We will be closed SUNDAY and MONDAY. Have a safe weekend everyone.

First Monday Reiki Exchange with Deborah Donoghue

Gather for a traditional Reiki Energy Exchange open to all individuals and practitioners attuned to Reiki energy. Begin the evening with a meditation circle and then break off into small groups to provide Reiki energy for each other. This will take place the first Friday of every month upstairs at Journeys.
